Shigeru Nishiyama 日本功能点协会(JFPUG)名誉会长
In April 1975, I joined Musashino Electronic Communication Laboratories of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation (Now NTT Corporation). I was engaged in, first, research of telecommunication systems and then research of compilers and software development environment. In April 1992, I began to study Function Point Analysis, software estimation methods and software quality characteristics. In addition to them, I studied and developed network collaboration software. With several people who shared the same purpose, I first established Japan Function Point Users Group(JFPUG), in 1993 and was assigned to the president of JFPUG till this April. In these days, I supervise overall IT systems of the municipal office of city of Niigata.

Former President of JFPUG. Former secretary of SC7 Special Committee of Information Processing Society of Japan(IPSJ). Former Chairperson of WG12 sub-group(Functional Size Measurement) of SC7 Special Committee of IPSJ. Former chairperson of Software development management committee of Information Technology Research and Standardization Center(INSTAC) of Japan Standards Association(JSA). Former vice-chairperson of the working group 6 of 21 Software Production Control(SPC) research committee of Union of Scientists and Engineers(JUSE).
